Gilmerton Primary School will be joining other schools, businesses and organisations across Edinburgh to celebrate the city’s starring role in the Marvel adventure movie, “Avengers: Infinity War”.

On Thursday 26^th April, pupils and staff will be able to channel their inner superhero and will have the option to come to school dressed as their favourite superhero character.  We are mindful of our 1 in 5 initiative, and we do not wish to cause families expense in dressing up, but would encourage children to wear costumes they may already have or to create a homemade costume (eg a mask or a badge or a cape).  Staff will be creating learning opportunities around the Superhero theme and pupils will be challenged to think of learning powers and how these can be used to improve learning.
