Hello Primary 5
We hope you’ve all had a good first week back. It’s not how we imagined our Summer Term would be, but let’s keep being positive and challenge ourselves to do our very best.
We’ve been looking at Sumdog and Read Theory to see how you are all doing. We’re impressed that many of you are making good progress. Please look for the tasks set out on each weekly plan of learning. Keep up the good work!
If you have any photographs of pieces of work you have done these can be emailed to the school office. We would love to see what you’ve been up to. Admin@Gilmerton.edin.sch.uk
We hope you and your families are well and keeping yourselves safe.
Keep smiling!
Miss McDonald and Mrs Douglas xx

HELLO PRIMARY 5!!!!
Hi to you all in Primary 5! We hope you enjoyed the Easter holidays and managed to keep busy and find lots of interesting things to do. You’ve had a 2 week break from your home learning, so here we go ….. ready to work hard again. Here are your tasks for Week 3 … do what you can and good luck.
We are missing you all and hope to see you all again soon. Remember to keep all your home learning work safe so you can share it with us and your classmates when we return to school. We look forward to seeing some of the interesting things that you have been working on.
We have added some extra activities this week that do not need a screen! There is a 30 day Lego challenge (or you can use other building materials) and a non-screen challenge sheet. These activities should keep you busy for a few weeks!!!
Love and best wishes to you all
Mrs Douglas & Miss McDonald xx

Week beginning 30th March
Hello Primary 5a and 5b
We hope you and your families are all well and keeping yourselves occupied whilst at home. We are missing our daily school routine and the familiar sights and sounds of life at Gilmerton. Most of all we are missing YOU – your cheery faces, your familiar voices and lively selves. It’s all a bit too quiet here at home. Yes, we admit, we are even missing the “Ping Pong”! Try to work through your activities for the week but don’t worry if you get stuck and please don’t allow yourself or your family members to get stressed.
Keep safe and keep smiling!
Miss McDonald and Mrs Douglas xx
